Supporting American Nurses Greatest Needs in Memory of Maureen Loughnane Libby

Your donation supports the memory of Maureen Loughnane Libby, age 67. Maureen passed away under the capable care of the South Shore Hospital Pratt 6 team, and the family is eternally grateful for their support during this difficult time.

Maureen passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2021, surrounded by her family. Maureen is survived by her partner of 52 years and husband of 45 years Robert "Bob", daughter Megan (husband Jonathan), son Brian (wife Jennifer), grandchildren Avery, Gwendolyn, Connor and Ivy, siblings Joanne, Patricia, Michael, and Mark, and a multitude of nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Maureen grew up in Norwood, MA. A graduate of Norwood High class of 1972, Maureen then attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and later Suffolk University Law School, graduating with a J.D. which ultimately led her to a partnership with Harrington and Libby Law Offices in Braintree. Her family settled into their home in Pembroke 35 years ago where she and Bob became an active supporters of Pembroke Youth Hockey fundraising, organized many neighborhood cleanups, and hosted several fun and rowdy cookouts.

Maureen was a sharp, witty, independent person who could always be counted on to call ‘em like she saw ‘em with honesty and compassion. At work she was a little lady who commanded a room with her integrity and intelligence. At home she was nurturing and patient. She enjoyed reading a good book and a completing a tough crossword puzzle. She diligently cared for her own parents, Eileen and Joe, prior to their passing. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and was always proud to share a school photo, attend a tea party, or supply the water guns for a pool party. In her death we celebrate her lifetime of selfless contributions to her family, friends, and clients.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in Hanover on Friday August 27th from 4-7 PM. Donations can be made in Maureen’s name to the American Nurses Foundation, Healthy Nurse Healthy Nation program
